I work in a pharmaceutical industry. Our industry is located in San Francisco, California. I was a part of the management section of our company. Last year our company had faced a loss due to an employee. We manufacture different types of medicines and our medicines are popular for their effectiveness and low price. One of our employees had copied the formula of a medicine and sold it to our rival company. They launched the same medicine at a lower price. We had fired the employee from job and had filed a legal case against the company for taking our formula by an unfair means. We did not want the same thing to get repeated so we decided to use software that would protect the documents from piracy. We made a proper research to get the software that can protect all the database of the company from copying or printing.

We did not want anyone to misuse the intellectual property of our company. We contracted with the company LockLizard for intellectual property protection. The company had blocked all the ways by which anyone could copy the information from the company and sell it to others. After this the sale of our company had risen. The company that had acquired the formula by unfair means was also penalized.
